Mouse has been in Cannabis for seventeen years. He grew up in Houston and got into the industry because of what the plant can do medically. Over the years, he has worked across cultivation, retail, operations, brand development, and consumer education.
He and Ashley worked together for five years building a multi-state Cannabis operation that grew to fifty locations and hundreds of employees. When Ashley decided to open 8th Avenue, Mouse sold his equity in his current venture and walked away to join her.
Mouse is also the author of Cannabis: Clearing the Smoke — From Reefer Madness to Reality, the first book in A Cannabis Trilogy. The book covers the history of Cannabis from prohibition to where the industry stands today. It is available anywhere books are sold, and signed copies can be found inside the store.
Mouse has spoken at Cannabis events across the country, including MJBiz, and has been featured in multiple Cannabis media outlets. He has been featured on the cover of Cannabis Talk Magazine, featured in Cannabis Now Magazine, and has appeared on Cannabis Talk 101, iHeartRadio, Shade 45 XM, and multiple Cannabis-related podcasts, including Puff & Prosper. You will find him at the store most days.
The medical side of Cannabis is what matters most to him. He has seen what the plant can do for people dealing with real health issues, and that is a big part of why 8th Avenue is set up the way it is.
